Under 11's - FAQ
1) Will all the games be at Bulli this year? No, we will play teams from other clubs at other groundsHelensburgh through to Russell Vale.
2) Will the teams be graded? All those who wish to be considered for the advanced team can be graded. All others will be placed in mixed teams. For more information visit our grouping and grading policy.
3) When is training? Different teams will train on different days depending on the coach and his/her availability.
4) Who are the coaches? those will be announced via email.
5) Who is the coordinator? Ken Lavanda has graciously volunteered to be the Under 11's Coordinator in 2021.
6) My child is a good player will he be put with other good players? All players are good players in their parents eyes which is exactly how it should be. Mixed teams are made up of a variety of children no matter their gender, hair colour, religion etc. There may be an Advanced team based on the results from grading
7) What skills will my child learn this year? We follow the national football curriculum which is available on the football south coast website. Our main objective though for under 11's is to have fun whilst growing in skill of football.
8) What is the format for under 11's? 9 on the field!
9) Will games still be on Saturday? Yes!
10) Do I need to register? Yes, you can do this online ONLY. Details are available by clicking the rego tab.
11) How many players on a team? About 11 or 12, as it will depend how many players register. Although only 9 players will play on the field at any time allowing for some substitutes.
12) How long will the games be? 2 x 25 minutes with a 5 minute break.
13) Is there a goalkeeper? Yes this is the first year a goalkeeper is required.
14) What size ball? Same size as last year. Size 4.
15) My son/daughter wants to be a goalkeeper, can he/she be the team goalkeeper? Yes! Please speak to your coach about it as there may be other players wanting to share this role.
